Metamorphosis
Our submission for Godot Wild Jam #77!
Step into the world of Maslo, a caterpillar who goes through metamorphosis... And wakes up as a bug-sized human man!
- Learn Human Skills like "Pointing," "Dice Gambling," and "Capitalism"
- Help other bugs with interactive quests and tasks!
- Play matchmaker for a picky dung beetle!
- Take in-game pictures with your camera and share them in the comments!
- Help save the ants from a spooky spider!
- Assemble a jazz band!
- Unlock cool emotes for completing objectives!
- And much more!
This is a style of game we have wanted to make for a while, so we hope folks enjoy playing it as much as we enjoyed making it!
WASD to Move
Mouse for camera control
Click/Press E to interact
Tab to pause/open menu
Other controls are unlocked as you progress. (No spoilers! Just check your pause menu if you forget!)
There is a save feature in the game, if you get stuck go to the menu, create a save using the save button on the bottom right corner, and then select your save and reload. This will reload you into the main world with all of your progress.
Loosely inspired by The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka.

lived my best bug life
Absolutely obsessed with this game. The art direction is so fun to me, I love the 3D atmosphere with the 2D pngs around.
It's so funny, and the scope and world of this game is insanely good, especially for the time rush of a game jam. 10/10 would accidentally turn into a human again.

Insane. Ambitious amount of content. every couple minutes I thought "no way they added this feature too". Such a great example of devs having fun for a game jam.
Very sureal and goofy. some sort of background ambience wouldve made the anthill less scary when I first went in. The character are really likable, especially Delilah(my smoking hot wife). I liked this.
Agreed that the ant hill turned about a bit spookier than intended on first glance. But there is a spider in there after all! It's a spooky place!

how do I escape trying to unlock the safe? I started and I can't get out
I'm guessing it's ESC but that doesn't work on web
It should be tab like the pause menu UI.
I'll add a label to that interface though.
